Once upon a time in the land of the beetles, there was an evil beetle who ruled above all. The greedy Dark Beetle kept his kin under mind control through ancient mysterious artifacts. Along with the artifacts, the villain found ancient scrolls which taught him beetles can’t fly if they can’t dream. To prevent the beetles from sleeping, Dark Beetle ordered the construction of a great monument. Over time, the busy little beetles forgot they once owned the sky and became soulless crawlers.

 

One day, a beetle was working carrying stones when a storm came and lighting struck. The poor little beetle could not hold his balance and fell off from the top of the monument. Since his helmet went off and crashed on the ground, the magic stone shattered and Dark Beetle had no control over him anymore.

 

Beetle was confused and didn’t know who he was. He had visions of a long forgotten past. He saw ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs depicting a time when beetles were sacred and could spread their wings and fly. For the first time in his life, Beetle felt he could conquer the skies.

 

Filled with questions and doubts, Beetle was visited by a very old ant. The Ant Sage realized Beetle was a zombie no more. Wary of the villain, the elder invited Beetle to his lair and told him about the Dark Beetle’s scheme and how he used the artifacts to subdue his kin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After knowing the truth, Beetle was determined to set his race free. The ingenious Ant Sage devised a plan. The lone warrior must fall over and over until he «remembers» how to use his wings. So the elder invented a special device: Beetle would need «parachutes» to survive each fall. To keep Beetle safe from his enemies, the Ant Sage gave him an old invention he had: a «boomerang» that is thrown and comes back.

 

Together they wil travel around the world gathering all the missing pieces to complete the mural!
